Handicapped
Diving Services
Although
not every dive facility on Bonaire is set up to accept
handicapped divers, some have been offering services
to this sector for many years.
If
handicapped services are required for an upcoming
trip to Bonaire, it is recommended you contact
one of the following dive operators and inquire
as to whether they can assist in your particular
situation.
In
October, 2006, and again in August, 2007, Bonaire hosted the Wounded Warriors,
remarkable and courageous young men who had
served as U.S. soldiers and Marines in Iraq and
Afghanistan and who were severely injured. Many
experienced single or multiple amputations.
These
young men along with their family members journeyed
to Bonaire to complete their Open Water Diver certifications,
which all did successfully. (Learn more....)
